Information for regarding the return to school plan for regarding the return to school plan<p>On July 30, the Premier’s Office announced that all publicly funded schools in Ontario will reopen in September. In the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB), all students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 will return under a conventional school day model subject to cohorting/timetabling considerations, and enhanced public health protocols. Popcorn Sales Sales <p class="MsoNormal">Starting Wednesday March 25, and every Wednesday and Friday , popcorn sales will be happening in the front foyer during second recess.<span>  </span>It is 1.00 a bag, and the proceeds will be in support of our grade 8 graduation.<span>  </span>Thank you for your support!!</p>

This is an opportunity for both parents and students to visit GBDSS and see the many outstanding programs, courses, and clubs being offered at the school. <strong> This evening Open House will be taking the place of the Grade 8 Day scheduled for January 30th.</strong> Please ensure that you and your Grade 8 student participate in this opportunity to visit GBDSS and learn of the programmes and opportunities available for your child in Grade 9. Our Giving Tree and Food Drive Giving Tree and Food Drive <p class="MsoNoSpacing">We are excited to welcome the Holiday season to Mundy’s Bay!<span>  </span>This year, our school family will be hosting the Hallway of Holidays, and asking for contributions to our mitten, scarf and hat tree, as well as our food drive for the local food pantry.<span>  </span>You can send your donations in with your child until December 18.</p><p class="MsoNoSpacing">Thank you for your support!<span>       </span></p>
FI INFORMATION NIGHT IS NOVEMBER 26TH AT 6:00PM IN THE LIBRARY! INFORMATION NIGHT IS NOVEMBER 26TH AT 6:00PM IN THE LIBRARY! <p class="MsoNoSpacing">FI INFORMATION NIGHT IS NOVEMBER 26<sup>TH</sup> AT 6:00PM IN THE LIBRARY!</p><p class="MsoNoSpacing">Beginning this year, entry into the FI program will be determined through a digitally randomized lottery system. A link to access the Grade 1 FI online application form will be available starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 2 until 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20. Once available, you will find the application link on the SCDSB website under Elementary, French as a Second Language. </p><p class="MsoNoSpacing">Enrolment into the FI Program in Grade 1 is limited to a maximum of 40 students per designated FI site. While every effort is made to accommodate all FI applications, available space and staffing will determine how many students can be registered. Parents/guardians can contact their school in advance if they do not have Internet access at home or require assistance accessing the online application. Transportation is available to students enrolled in FI or EFSL programs within their designated French site. Centralized community bus stops will be established to provide access for students to attend the specialized program. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to transport the student to and from the centralized stops at designated times for pick up and drop off. Please note that the designated sites for FI may change during the program, which may also include splitting the program between two different sites.</p>
