Vaccination Clinics Clinics<div class="span10"><div class="CatalogContent"><p>Under the direction of the Ministry of Health and in collaboration with local school boards, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) will be offering COVID-19 vaccination clinics for children in select elementary school locations. The clinics will operate during school hours for eligible students (Kindergarten to Grade 8) and staff of the host school. <strong>Parent/guardian consent is required.</strong> Clinic hours will be extended into the evenings for these same individuals, as well as for parents/guardians, families from neighbouring schools and all other eligible community members. </p><p>To help determine interest and need for a vaccination clinic in our school, please complete <a href="">this form</a> and have your child return the form to the school office. If you have difficulty accessing the form, please contact school office staff. </p><p>The SCDSB will work with the SMDHU to determine which schools will host vaccination clinics. Information, including the date, time and location of school based vaccination clinics will be communicated directly with school families and will be posted on the SCDSB website here: <a href=""></a>. <br></p></div></div>
Home to School Bus Delays App to School Bus Delays App<div class="entry-content"><p>Families and students can now receive delay notification to their devices by downloading the BusPlanner Delays App from the Apple or Android app stores.</p><p><span></span></p><p>Users should select <strong>Simcoe County STC</strong> as the transportation authority and use their student’s school and route number to signup to receive delay notifications for their specific bus(es).  ‘Push’ notifications will be sent to devices when notifications for the app are turned on in the settings of the device.</p></div>
JUNIOR BEARS LEADERSHIP PROGRAM! BEARS LEADERSHIP PROGRAM!<div class="CatalogContent"><p>GBDSS is excited to launch the Junior Bears Leadership Program for Grade 8 students in 2022.<br></p><p>This program will offer students hands-on learning in how to be leaders of tomorrow - all while earning a high school credit!</p><p> Starting in January of 2022, participating students will collaborate with school and community partners to learn how to be the next generation of changemakers. ​Important Information Regarding Permisions for 2021-2022​Important Information Regarding Permisions for 2021-2022<p><strong>STANDARD ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND PERMISSION FORM/STUDENT INFORMATION COMPUTING TECHNOLOGY APPROPRIATE USE AGREEMENT 2021-2022</strong><br></p><p>The 2021-2022 Standard Acknowledgment and Permission Form and Student Information Computing Technology Appropriate Use Agreement are required forms for all Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) students.  The forms have been made available electronically through School Cash Online. School Cash Online is our preferred method for forms. If you are unable to submit these forms electronically, please contact the office for paper copies of the forms. </p><p>STUDENT ACCIDENT INSURANCE 2021-2022 </p><p>Student injuries at school during school events, extra-curricular activities (e.g. athletics, clubs, etc.) and out-of-province/out-of-country trips are not covered by the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) or its insurance company. While every precaution is taken to provide a safe learning environment, accidents can and do happen. </p><p>A variety of plans and benefits at reasonable annual prices can be found through either:</p><p>StudyInsured at or by calling 1-833-560- 0527.</p><p> Insure my Kids at or by calling 1-800-463-5437. </p><p>Participation in extra-curricular activities (e.g. athletics, clubs, etc.) and/or out-ofprovince/out-of-country trips require the purchase of this insurance, or other extended health and dental coverage. </p><p>Student accident insurance packages will be sent home with students.</p>
