Caught in a Moment That Matters
We are excited to launch a new school-wide initiative called Caught in a Moment That Matters!
This program is designed to recognize students who are doing their best—and sometimes going a little bit beyond. Whether it’s showing exceptional kindness, putting forth consistent effort, helping others, or making a positive impact in our school community, these moments deserve to be noticed.
When a student is caught in a moment that matters, they will receive a ballot entry with their name entered into a monthly prize draw. This initiative celebrates everyday actions that help make our school a welcoming, caring, and supportive place for everyone.
Because small moments truly do make a big difference 💛
Volleyball
Our Girls’ Volleyball team has had a slow start to the season, only playing 1 game against Huron Park due to the number of snow days. Coaches M. St. Amant and M. LeMesurier look forward to seeing our players develop and improve their skills over the next busy month. Our final Area tournament will be taking place @ GBDSS on Monday, March 2nd from 9-3 pm.Good luck to the rest of the season, Mariners!
Attendance Reminder
Thank you to everyone who continues to call our Safe Arrival line at 1-888-885-8065 each day their student. This line is available 24 hours a day- and letting us know that your child is home safe with you ahead of time is appreciated as it saves the office staff time during our busy morning! A reminder to please let the office know- not just the classroom teacher as they do not always get a message in a timely manner. If sending an email, you can include [email protected] in the list of recipients to ensure the office receives the message. And finally, a reminder that consistent attendance is an integral part of a child’s success at school!
Kindergarten Registration is Open
If you, or someone you know has a child turning 4 in 2026, they are eligible to start kindergarten this fall. Registration is now open on the SCDSB website.
