Message from the Office

It’s hard to believe that September is over and October is here! We are looking forward to another fun and busy month.

Our hot lunch program is now up and running. This year, we are offering: Chicken nuggets and veggies with dip on Tuesdays; Pizza on Wednesdays; Pasta on Thursdays; Subs on Fridays. All funds raised will be used to support student activities at Mundy’s Bay. Check out Lunchbox on our school website for ordering options.

We will be practising our Emergency drills throughout October, including fire drills, evacuation drills, shelter-in-place drills and our Lockdown drill. Please speak to your child(ren) about the need to remain calm and quiet, and look to the teacher for directions during these times.

We are planning some new exciting activities to continue to build our school community within the building. Stay tuned for more information…!

School Terry Fox Run/Walk

Congratulations to the Mundy's Bay Community for helping us achieve our goal of raising $1500 for the Terry Fox Foundation. Thank you.  Our donations this year will help honour  the legacy of Will Dwyer and his efforts to fundraise 2 million dollars  for cancer research. We are excited that Midland's Giant Tiger will add an additional $500 to our school’s fundraising total bringing this year’s total to $2004!! Great work Mariners...We finished it!

SchoolCash Online

This is just a reminder to sign your student up for their SchoolCash Online (SCO) account.  SCO is the program used by SCDSB for online permissions and payments for field trips and other school events.  If you are having difficulty signing up for your account, please reach out to the office for help.

Safe Arrival Procedures

Please remember to call the Safe Arrival line at 1-888-885-8065 any time your child/ren will be absent from school.  This is an automated system, and is available 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week for you to leave a message.  If you do not call to let the school know where your student is, you will receive a call from the Safe Arrival system.  If you do not answer, or follow up with us, our office will call you and all emergency contacts to confirm they are safe with you.  We appreciate your help with this, as it can be a very time consuming task.
